Reapplicants
Admission to the American University of Armenia is competitive as there are more applicants than spaces available. If you are not offered admission to AUA, we welcome you to reapply in the future.
Before you reapply, we strongly recommend you to familiarize yourself with our reapplication policies to make sure you meet all the application requirements. If you are reapplying for graduate studies, please see Point #8 under our Graduate Admissions Policy. If you are reapplying for undergraduate studies, please see Point #4 under our Undergraduate Admissions Policy. The information below applies to both undergraduate and graduate studies at AUA.
Application
If your application was previously denied, technically ineligible, or incomplete, you must submit a new online application for admission, including recommendation letters (for graduate studies), and transcript(s). If you were an accepted applicant who did not enroll at AUA or did not defer your offer of admission, you must also reapply. Application requirements may change from year to year; therefore you must meet current requirements. You will also be required to pay the non-refundable application fee.
While we discourage applicants to apply within the same academic year, if you choose to do so – you do not need to resubmit transcript(s), diploma(s), certificate(s), and other attachments already submitted with your initial Application for Admission. However, we strongly encourage you to provide new information or evidence that supports your ability to succeed in your studies at AUA.
Test Scores
For eligibility purposes we highly recommend retaking any tests on which you have received low scores. However, as long as your required test scores are valid at the time of application, you do not need to retake them. You should self-report all scores in your application. If your test scores are no longer valid, you will need to retake the required tests.
Validity of Test Scores
- SAT and ACT: 3 years from test date
- TOEFL iBT: 2 years from test date
- IELTS Academic: 2 years from test date
- GRE, GMAT, and LSAT: 5 years from test date
Recommendation Letters (for graduate programs only)
We highly encourage you to submit new recommendation letters as they may help us better understand any progress or growth you have demonstrated since the time of your previous application. However, you may keep your old recommendation letters as they are valid for one year.
Dismissed Students
If you were dismissed, you may not be admitted to or enroll in degree or certificate programs or non-degree courses for one calendar year. For more information, visit our Probation and Dismissal policy.
Advice to Reapplicants
Approach your application with a fresh perspective. Add new information that may be helpful in the admission review process. And if possible, address any areas of relative weakness. This can include your entrance exam scores, grades, extracurricular/volunteer activities, statement of purpose/personal statement, and professional experience.
