Tuition and Fees

  • You should carefully consider the financing of your education at AUA from the time of admission to the completion of your undergraduate degree. This page details information about tuition rates and the various tools available to help you support your education journey. You must apply for financial aid at the same time as you apply for admission. You cannot apply after you are admitted.     ANNUAL TUITION

    Students in degree programs sign a contract with AUA upon enrollment which establishes tuition for the duration of the contract. All fees are paid in AMD.

    At the time of registration, applicants are classified as: 

    » Citizens of the Republic of Armenia*
    » Holders of Armenian Special Passports for Special Residency Status (commonly known as the 10-year visa ); or
    » International Students

    The annual tuition and fees for students enrolled in Undergraduate degree programs for the Fall 2022 cycle (as well as for Fall 2021 and Fall 2020) before financial aid is as follows:

      Citizens of the Republic of Armenia and Armenian Special Passport Holders*  International Students
    BA in Business 2,250,000 AMD 4,250,000 AMD
    All Other Programs** 1,700,000 AMD 3,700,000 AMD
    Student Services Fee 25,000 AMD
    Health Insurance*** 10,000 AMD/month

    *     Citizens of Armenia also include those citizens mentioned in Chapter I, Article 6,Clause 3 of the Republic of Armenia Law on Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education.
    **   Programs include BA in English & Communications, BA in Politics & Governance, BS in Computer Science, BS in Engineering Sciences, and BS in Data Science.
    *** AUA requires proof of health insurance for students who do not hold Armenian citizenship. You may purchase health insurance from any provider. Alternatively, AUA offers support in securing coverage through the University's provider for approximately 10,000 AMD per month.

     

    FINANCIAL AID at AUA

    Citizens of the Republic of Armenia and Armenian Special Passport Holders receive an automatic 2,000,000 AMD annual subsidy, which brings the total cost of education down from 4,250,000 to 2,250,000  (for BAB) and 3,700,000 to 1,700,000 (for all other programs). In addition, the University offers need-based and merit-based tuition assistance for Armenian citizens that may discount the cost of education by up to an additional 90%.

    International students are eligible for merit-based scholarships that may cover up to 50% of the total cost of tuition.

    In addition, the University offers financial aid tools such as Installment Payment Plan, Deferred Payment, Merit Scholarships, Work-study program, and the Lebanon Emergency Fund to further support our applicants.

    * Citizens of the Republic of Armenia also include those citizens mentioned in Chapter 1, Article 6, Clause 3 of the Republic of Armenia Law on Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education.
    ** Students typically complete the MBA program in 30 months. The tuition for the entire program for Citizens of Armenia and Armenia Special Passport Holders is 4,680,000 AMD while for International Students tuition is 9,680,000AMD.
    *** MSM is typically a Summer-Fall-Spring-Summer program. Tuition for the entire program is calculated at a factor of 1.5 of the annual tuition. The cost of tuition for the entire program is: 2,700,000 AMD for Citizens of Armenia and Armenian Special Passport Holders and 5,700,000 AMD for International Students.
    **** MSE is typically a Fall-Spring-Summer-Fall-Spring program. The cost of tuition for the entire program is 2,600,000 AMD for Citizens of Armenia and Armenian Special Passport Holders and 6,600,000 AMD for International Students.
